The new Super Shuttle website was launched in 2006 delivering to the market online reservations for the first time. This innovative new communications and booking channel revolutionized the way both the general public and the travel industry accessed the Super Shuttle product in New Zealand and throughout the world.

In 2005, Super Shuttle introduced a world first with its innovative and market leading eDispatch. eDispatch is a mobile phone based dispatch and ticketing system and utilises GPRS data technology and customised software operated in conjunction with Windows CE/Mobile 5 equipped mobile phone handpieces. This innovation means we know exactly when and where you need pick-up from.

The Johnston’s Shuttle Link brand was withdrawn in 2000 and a new Super Shuttle brand was launched fleet wide across New Zealand.

In 1999 Super Shuttle designed and installed New Zealand's first (and only) national reservations computer for ground airport transfer bookings.

In 1996 the two nationwide shuttle shared ride operators Super Shuttle and Johnston’s Shuttle Link merged to create the largest airport transport business in New Zealand.

EARLY 90’S
Super Shuttle was one of the first franchise systems in New Zealand – developed and launched in the early 90’s.

Super Shuttle expands out of Auckland and establishes a nationwide network servicing all the main airports across New Zealand and as far south as Queenstown.

Super Shuttle started the airport shuttle industry in Auckland in 1987 when the small passenger transport industry was deregulated, offering a value based, door-to-door service that was an alternative to expensive taxis and much more convenient than a bus. (still true today!)
